TIC Dynamos O&M V Ingleton - Salt Ayre 2pm KO
Reserves No Match

FULL TIME SCORE: TIC DYNAMOS 2 - 6 INGLETON
Ingleton started positively, constantly looking to attack, which was rewarded with an early goal - an inswinging corner from Jordan Carter Brown to put it on a plate for Dan Tyrer to volley in from close range. Despite being on top, Ingleton were then put under pressure with a TIC free kick, the ball was struck well and heading into the top right, but was denied by a superb save from Keiron Doyle, who then reacted well to parry the rebound over the bar. Ingleton's attacking pressure was again rewarded with the goal of the game, a neat cross field ball from Mark Dobson was well controlled by Aaron Woodhouse, who then audaciously attempted an overhead kick from the edge of the area, which found the top corner and completely dumbfounded the TIC goal keeper. 0-2. Ingleton made it 0-3 just before half time with a long throw from Joel Law flicked on by David Easterby to set up Aaron Woodhouse for his second of the game with a close range finish. Smart football.
HALF TIME
Ingleton's continued defensive solidarity allowed the attackers to carry on piling on the pressure in the second half. The hardworking Dan Tyrer stole the ball off the centre half and slotted in Aaron Woodhouse for a one-on-one chance to complete his hat-trick, but was denied by a good save from the TIC keeper, however the poaching nature of Dan Tyrer meant he was there to knock in the rebound to make it 0-4. Ingleton's pressure was relentless and a 5th goal soon came with Dan Tyrer finding Steve Havelin in acres of space down the left, which gave him time to compose himself and slot it under the keeper. 0-5. TIC grew into the game despite Ingleton's strong lead, first a header hit the bar, and not long after they scored a glancing header from an inswinging free kick. 1-5. Ingleton responded with the resilient Dan Tyrer winning the ball and playing it down the wing for Eddy Read, who saw the keeper off his line and confidently struck it first time with his left foot, finding the side netting from 20 yards - lovely finish. 1-6. TIC kept battling well despite being well beaten, and were rewarded with a dubious late penalty, with their attacker running into Ingleton's defence and looking for a penalty - which they were given. It was dispatched and the game ended 2-6.
Lots of strong performances today, important saves from Keiron Doyle and a resolute defence and defensive midfield thwarted the majority of TIC's attacking play. However Dan Tyrer's 2 goals and assists just pipped it for me. Well done lads.
